This Cookie Policy explains how Simply Send ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at simplysend.email ("Website").
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owners.
Cookies can be "persistent" or "session" cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your device when you go offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We use cookies for several purposes. Analytics tools are initially loaded according to your analytics-consent preference. You can change that preference through cookie settings. After changing it, reload the page to apply the saved preference to tools already loaded. This does not automatically delete records already held by a provider. Applicable access and deletion requests can be made through our Privacy Policy contact.
2.1 First-Party Cookies
- Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include authentication tokens and security cookies.
- Performance Cookies: These allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site.
- Functional Cookies: These enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your theme preference.
- Analytics Cookies: These help us understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics supports aggregated usage reporting; its cookie and interaction data is not necessarily anonymous. Microsoft Clarity can record individual session behavior, including clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements, to help us identify usability issues.
2.2 Third-Party Cookies
Cookie-specific disclosures are below. Our central provider list describes the providers' broader services and data-processing roles.
- Amazon AWS: For infrastructure and serving APIs. Learn more
- Cloudflare: For Hosting and performance. Learn more
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): We use Google Analytics for usage reporting, including pages visited, time on site, and traffic sources. Cookie and technical identifiers may remain personal data even when reports are aggregated. Google Analytics uses cookies to identify returning visitors. Data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Learn more
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): We use Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics, including session recordings (replays of mouse movements, clicks, and scrolls) and heatmaps. Clarity may record interactions visible on your screen during a session, which could include content you type or view. We configure Clarity to mask sensitive fields; however, you should be aware that session-level data is not fully anonymous. Data is processed in accordance with Microsoft's privacy statement. - Stripe: To process payments and prevent fraud. Learn more
If you leave Simply Send for an external checkout, marketplace, or app-store page, that provider may place cookies or use similar technologies under its own policy. This can include Stripe, AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace, Google Workspace Marketplace, or Shopify when a relevant purchase, installation, or account-linking flow is available. We do not control those third-party cookies.
3. How to Control Cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. However, if you do this, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
3.1 Browser Controls
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. However, if you limit the ability of websites to set cookies, you may worsen your overall user experience and/or lose the ability to access certain services.

3.2 Cookie Consent
Where our regional rules require an opt-in prompt (EU/EEA, including Norway, the UK and Switzerland), optional analytics stays off until you choose. The first layer offers equally accessible acceptance and rejection, plus granular settings. A California notice provides preference controls under our configured state rule. We do not show an automatic accept/reject banner globally. Where location is unknown, optional analytics stays off without a global prompt. Your saved choice is respected regardless of location, and preferences remain available through the footer or Account → Privacy in the portal.
Cookie inventory and choice records
| Cookie | Purpose and provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Necessary first-party record of optional-category choices, notice version, choice time and available country/state codes. It is not an analytics event. | Up to one year; replaced when you save a new choice. |
| user_country, user_region | First-party country/state codes supplied by our delivery edge to select the regional consent experience. They do not contain a precise location or account identity. | Up to 24 hours. |
| _ga, _ga_* | Optional Google Analytics identifiers and session reporting; loaded only when the effective regional preference permits analytics. | Provider expiry depends on the active Analytics property configuration; the property-specific values must be verified and made available with the applicable provider information. Earlier withdrawal overrides the stored expiry. |
| _clck, _clsk | Optional Microsoft Clarity user/session identifiers. Session recording and cookies are disabled when optional analytics is rejected. | Provider expiry depends on the active Clarity configuration; the project-specific values must be verified and made available with the applicable provider information. Earlier withdrawal overrides the stored expiry. |
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the optional Zoho support widget are not loaded after an initial rejection. Withdrawing a previous grant disables Google collection and communicates withdrawal to Clarity; the page reloads once to unload existing third-party runtimes. Requests already transmitted before withdrawal cannot be recalled. The Zoho widget requires both optional preferences and analytics permission; email support remains available without those permissions. Additional provider cookies and their exact configured lifetimes must be included when the relevant service is enabled.

You are advised to review this Cookie Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Cookie Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
